How blessed you were, glorious St. Joseph! God gave you the joyful gift of seeing the Messiah whom many kings desired to see, and did not see, to hear and did not hear. Not only did you see and hear our Savior, but you carried Him in your arms, kissed Him, dressed Him, taught Him and watched over Him with love.
Your closeness to Christ on earth, and your care of us, His chosen ones, make you now in glory our patron and protector amid all the perils of life. Kindly intercede for us now, and grant the favor we so ardently implore. In Christ's name we ask your aid.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, you have made us a chosen race, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation, grant us as you did St. Joseph the grace to serve Christ your only Son, and to reverence the Blessed Virgin Mary, His mother. By the merits of St. Joseph, protector of the Holy Family, enable us to do your will in all things, and to remain ever faithful to the teachings of Christ our Lord. In His name we implore this favor.

Amen.

Gracious St. Joseph, protect me and my family from all evil as you did the Holy Family. Kindly keep us ever united in the love of Christ, ever fervent in imitation of the virtue of our Blessed Lady, your sinless spouse, and always faithful in devotion to you. Amen.
